A bit about us...

Brent Tyler

I am the author of two books – Cookham To Cannes and Same Circus Different Clowns. I have been living and working in France along with my wife, Debbie, for nearly fifteen years now. Since arriving here we’ve had a real adventure and like any good adventure there have been highs and lows, good times and bad. Along the way we were adopted by our amazing dog, Guss, who is as much a part of our journey as Debbie and me. I very much hope you enjoy reading our story. Debbie Tyler

I have been married to Brent for nineteen years and have been living in the south of France for nearly fifteen of those. My passion is cooking, so I have put some of my favourite recipes on the website for you to enjoy, including many from the books. As much as I love the south of France in the summer, I am a country girl at heart. At the end of a busy season I love nothing more than an autumn or winter walk in the Esterel followed by a delicious boeuf bourguignon accompanied by a large glass of red wine and a tarte tatin to finish. Guss

Guss is our amazing dog who adopted us one day when he was eight months old. He wasn’t happy being left on his own in the garden all day so as soon as his then owners went to work he would find a way to escape and take himself off for an adventure of his own. On one of those days I’m very glad he found us. Although thirteen and a half-years-old, as I write this, Guss has lost none of his enthusiasm for fun. He still loves playing volleyball, going for walks and welcoming people. If you are a dog lover, you’re going to love his story which begins in my first book, Cookham To Cannes.
